At Purrfect Harmony Coaching, we adhere to a philosophy known as LIMA, or least intrusive, minimally aversive. This means we focus on identifying the underlying causes for behavior, making environmental modifications, and using positive-reinforcement techniques to encourage desirable behaviors. Backed by science, LIMA keep cat's well-being at the forefront while effectively addressing undesirable behaviors. This method is not only effective, but also enhances the relationship between you and your companion. We don't recommend things like squirt bottles, shock mats, shock collars, or similar methods.

Currently, Purrfect Harmony Coaching offers: Taming the Trouble - Behavior Consults: If you have a behavior concern, this is your best bet. Preventative Peaceful Home Consults: If you're preparing to bring home a new family member (dog, cat, baby, or other), we can help make the transition smooth between current members and the new one. Quick Questions: If you have easier to answer questions about care, small non-medical concerns, or really anything, choose this. Tricks & Agility Training: If you want to learn how to teach fun tricks like sit, shake, jump, etc. or you want to get your feline friend into agility, this is where to start! Catification Consultation: If you're wondering how to give you cat a luxury upgrade (like a dedicated cat room or catio), I can help design it. In the future, Purrfect Harmony Coaching is looking to offer: weight management consults, nutrition consults, cat massage sessions, desensitization training, and more!

Aside from my Catification Consultations, most services are best done virtually. Bringing someone new into the home often changes a cat's behavior. Meaning, I may not even get to see the problem behavior occur. I can get a more accurate evaluation of their unwanted behavior through videos you capture. That said, I do still offer in-home sessions for those who wish and live within 30 miles of the city of Anoka area for a $30 travel fee. I can travel farther for an additional cost. For Catification services, the travel fee is built-in.

When you book a service, I'll have you fill out a preliminary form dependent on which service you book. This form is to help me provide immediate support for behavior concerns, go over your goals, help me better understand how to best help you and your companion, and make our initial session more efficient by getting most of the questions out of the way. Additionally, I'll send you a Cat Training Service Agreement for you to sign via email. I need this agreement signed before I can give any form of support.

At Purrfect Harmony Coaching, I recognize that each cat is a wonderfully unique individual with distinct behaviors, differing backgrounds, and different starting places. Therefore, I cannot in good conscience guarantee specific results. In addition to that, the code of ethics of some of my professional organizations (like IAABC) prohibit me from making such a promise. What I can promise you is my commitment to working with you and your feline to find a solution that works for you both. If, however, a challenge seems too great, I will be transparent about it and provide recommendations for the next steps.

I am a certified Cat Trainer through Animal Behavior College. I have 5+ years of experience with fostering special need cats, behavioral and medical. My goals for the future include getting an Applied Animal Behavior Bachelor's degree in the future with a focus in companion animals. I am always working on earning additional certifications I LOVE cats!
